Harrison Bergeron is by far one of the weirdest stories I've read. It is set in an alternate reality which I still have hard time understanding. It is sad and at the same time hilarious. I really have no idea how I feel about it. I still am having trouble with the"everyone is equal" part. I don't understand how everyone can talk perfectly fine and the announcers have impediments. That's not equal.
The character of Harrison Bergeron really interests me too. He's a rebel to a terrible society. He was basically freeing everyone from what they were forced to be to what they are. He was doing anything wrong he was actually doing good. The government did not like that and he ended up dying. That's what I call dedication.

Free Post
Sometimes I just feel overwhelmed with work. Some nights I can barely keep my eyes open when I'm doing my homework (like right now). I know it's because I procrastinate and dig myself in a deeper whole, but when it's all due it just piles up and wears me out. I wish I could keep myself from procrastinating but the internet is so much fun.
Also if I miss an assignment I always forget I can turn it in for partial credit. I could first of all avoid this by doing the assignment when its due but again I procrastinate a lot. I end up doing a lot of my homework in the mornings of the class before they're due. I wish I had a study hall every morning to get my work done for that day because that is how my head works.

Short Story Reading Response
"The Occurrence on Owl Creek Bridge" was a very unexpectedly sad story. Half of the story is a lie to the main character which makes it sad. The main character thinks he's going to escape from his death when it all turns out to be a lie and he ends up hanging from the bridge. He experiences all of the pain but he never really had any injuries. He didn't really deserve what happened to him.
Its weird to me how vivid his escape is. He hears voices, gets shot at, and runs through the woods all like he would in reality. Just as he thinks hes home free nothing is around him he just dies. It really caught me off guard that the story would end that fast. All of that for trespassing.
