Writing in the MLA format I felt really restrained from making my piece fun and attractive. Writing in MLA just looks like big paragraphs with nothing interesting in them. Times New Roman is also boring and unattractive. I hated the MLA format you couldn't do anything with the font, colors or pictures.Those are all things I would do if I were able to add them to an eBook.
First thing I would do is I would keep the title in MLA format except I would make eace line for the name, date, etc different colors. Second, I would change the font to calibri. Nothing drastic to where its unreadable just less boring. I would make the title size 16 so it stands out a little bit more and I might make it a wacky font. Finally, I would copy and paste my document into wordle and add it to the bottom of my paper to add some flavor.

ReplyDeleteI agree that MLA is absolutely boring. It's nice to be able to have some fun, but you do make a valid point by saying that when fonts get too crazy, they're hard to read. Your Wordle idea is a good one.
Harper I think most of us all agree that MLA is such a boring format. I think that when you change your paper it will look real cool. Good thoughts
